As the days grow shorter, the realization of the ending of summer dawns on all of us. With this said, camp has finally reached its dwindling point. As sad as this feeling is, we cannot let the end of camp leaving a sour taste in our mouths! That means week 7 will be the most exciting week ever!
On Monday, the kids escaped the heat one final time at the Haverhill High pool, ending with nothing but smiles and big laughs! To continue to keep cool, the kids enjoyed a giant ice cream sundae bar, finishing off our ice cream days with a cherry on top! The kids were so ecstatic that it was impossible not to smile when kids like Cameron Chisolm come up with ice cream coating their face! Monday was truly a bright shinning day at GSRP!
Tuesday, even though rainy, proved to be another memorable shining smile day! Grade 2 took another special trip to an arcade, this time to Joe's Playland! All the kids thought we were going to the actual beach and some like Annalia Desharnias and Andrew Pfifferling shouting "But I don't have a bathing suit!" No worries though, as soon as they realized the arcade was just near the beach, there was nothing but smiles and excitement left on their faces!
To end off the summer the right way, second grade is in for some fun in the sun at Cranes Beach! They will have the opportunity to soak counselors Scottie and Sabrina with buckets, enter a sand castle contest, or just catch some waves and rays! No matter what they choose, it will be an exciting day! Following the annual beach trip, our last day of camp will kick off with a talent show and cook out! Scottie and Sabrina look forward to the next few days, as they want nothing more than to see the bright, shining faces of G2! Scottie and Sabrina wish the kids the best of luck in school and want to say thank you for being such an awesome group! Until next year GSRP!!
P.S. Shout out to Max Coppola for making it BIG at the Junior Olympics!!
