In art class this week, we made many crafts including butterflies, bracelets, and mini door signs. The art room is a great way for the kids to cool down and relax after running around all morning. We started a new project this week, and the kids have begun the first step of creating a shape or picture with beads. When they are happy with their creation, we will iron the beads together, and they will be able to take it home.
In the project room we made bubbles which were a huge hit with G2. We created our own bubble blowers using straws and pipe cleaners. The kids even got creative and used their hands to blow big bubbles. We also made ice cream in the project room using milk, vanilla extract, sugar, salt, and ice cubes. The kids loved jumping around and shaking their bags until the ice cream was solid. They even got to add chocolate chips! It was a delicious treat to enjoy on a hot day.
G2 has been very well behaved, and we are sure this will continue throughout the rest of the summer! We are excited to see what these next few weeks bring. As a reminder, the children need to bring a bathing suit and towel everyday for water games! This is one of our favorite activities of the day! We can’t wait for the whale watch coming up soon with our Dancing Bananas!
