This summer flew by, and it is already week seven! Nolan and Allison remember day one of camp like it was yesterday! We cannot believe that it is almost time to say goodbye to our campers, it's a bittersweet week for us. We are going to miss our campers very much; however, we are excited to be starting a new chapter in our lives as we will be attending our first year at college! We have had an excellent summer. G2 has adapted camp's motto of being kind and respectful to all campers and staff here at GSRP; however, we hope that campers are kind and respectful to everybody even outside of camp.
Although we had already written about the mountain field trip in our previous blog, we thought that it would be nice to write about a little more regarding our all day trip to Santa's Village! Upon arriving to Santa's Village in Jefferson, NH, G2 wanted to go on every ride and play in every arcade they could before our departure back to GSRP. Our first stop was to this one ride similar to Disney's "Tower of Terror." Campers were strapped onto the ride, and the ride would quickly move up and down as if they were dropping. Another favorite was the roller coaster, where most of G2 spent their time during our time at Santa's Village. Our last stop at Santa's Village was the water park where all campers enjoyed the last hour of their day before heading back on the buses.
Moving forward to week seven has left G2 with an extremely busy week! On Monday, G2 went swimming and watched a reptile show which was held in the gym at camp! Tuesday, campers got back on the buses and headed towards Lego Land! Also, Tuesday night is our Annual Camp Dance held in the Cafe from 6:30-9:30. We encourage all parents and campers to attend! Me and Allison hope to see all our campers back next year and wish all campers the best of luck as they move up to 2nd Grade!!
