It’s hard to believe that week seven is already here! The past few weeks went by so quickly, it is hard to believe camp is going to be over! We have had so much fun this year in G4; from dodge ball to hockey, this group of campers did it all! On Monday, we were lucky enough to have our bonus field trip to SkyZone! We had so much fun there, and the group consensus was that the dodge ball was the best! We flipped and did awesome tricks for an hour on the trampolines then came back to camp for lunch. After lunch, we went to the rainforest reptile show and saw all of the crazy reptiles. Everyone's favorite was the huge boa snake, which scared a majority of the counselors, but the kids loved it! Then we went to the activity room which is probably everyone's favorite room at the camp! Because of the reptile show, the activity room block was extended. This meant we got to stay in there for about an hour and 20 minutes, which the campers loved.
On Tuesday, we went out front with grade five first and played fishy fishy cross my ocean, four square, and hockey. The campers love when we get to be with other groups because it means we get to do more activities! Then after snack, we went to activity room and did the usual spoons and video games! But after that, when we went to game room, it was one of the best parts of the day! The campers love the game room because of the new addition of the bouncy house! They love using the bouncy house; it is most definitely the best part of the game room! Then after lunch, we had water games, which instead of getting each other wet they just try to get all of the counselors wet. Even though Maddie had to stay for extended day, that did not stop grade four and grade five! They just kept dumping water on her! Then we went to arts and crafts for a period of free drawing! Also on Tuesday was the grade 6 and 7 vs. counselors basketball game! A lot of grade four went to watch the game and whoever didn’t watch stayed with a few counselors and split up between the indoor rooms at camp! On Wednesday, we had our awards ceremony where the counselors choose people in their group to get awards such as the kindness award, sportsmanship award and so on.
We are sad to say good bye to the campers this summer, we have had such a great summer! This is a wonderful group of kids, and we hope to see them next year! We also hope you all have a great rest of the summer and a great school year! We aren’t done yet though, we still have our field trip tomorrow to the beach, and we ask that the campers come in their bathing suits as there will not be time to change and wear your camp shirts! We also ask that you bring water and your lunches! We are also looking forward to our talent show on Friday! Have a great summer and school year!
