6B had a great week 6! We can't believe there is only one week left of camp! Sadly, this was the last week for some of our campers. We hope they all had a great summer and we hope to see them back at GSRP next year!
Week 6 was hockey tournament week for GSRP. Many of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Tacos competed in this weeks exciting tournament. The winning team was coached by Grade 6 counselor Dan and Grade 1 counselor Carolyn and included some of our own group members. Congrats!!
This week, we also played lots of knock out and soccer and continued making our tin foil towns in Project Enrichment. Group 2 has been working on a tin foil town to look like New York City, and Group 1 changed their town from looking like Groveland, to resembling Hawaii. Both groups have done an awesome job! 6B also continued to try to beat some high scores in computer lab and made scratch off art pictures in Arts and Crafts.
On Thursday, GSRP had their biggest field trip of the summer! Even though everyone seemed a little tired after getting to camp so early, everyone was singing along to Frozen on the bus ride to the mountain. Once at the mountain, we got to ride a mountain coaster and a mountain slide, go on the chair lift, jump onto an aiirbag, walk a tight rope and enjoy two water slide activities! 6B ended the day with ice cream! We had a great time on the trip and we hope the kids did too!
The last week of camp will be jam packed with fun events! On Monday we will be heading to Sky Zone in Everett and then coming back just in time to enjoy a show about Reptiles of the Rainforest. On Tuesday, all campers are invited to come back to Bagnall at 6:30 to enjoy the annual luau dance. Parents are welcome to join their campers or drop and pick them up! On Wednesday, GSRP will be having a hot lunch of chicken fingers and french fries from Pub 97, and we will have our annual awards ceremony. Thursday's field trip this week is a beach day at Crane's Beach! Parents should also remember there is NO extended day on Thursday! To end the summer, we will be having a cookout on Friday as well as a talent show. We can't wait to see some amazing performances!
