Week 7 brought many great things for the 6B TMNT! We opened up the week with a bonus field trip to SkyZone in Everett, MA. At Skyzone, the kids enjoyed jumping around on the various types of trampolines as well as playing dodgeball against other campers and the counselors! Once we got back from the field trip the campers got to attend a special reptile presentation where they learned about turtles, lizards, snakes, and alligators, to name a few. They even got a chance to hold the gator at the end if they wanted. The kids enjoyed giving counselor Ryan a hard time after they recently discovered his fear of animals.
On Tuesday, the campers had a pretty regular camp day with the exception of the Counselors vs. Campers basketball game in the afternoon. After a long fought battle against the counselors, the campers hit a last second buzzer-beater to bring the game into overtime. Unfortunately for them, the counselors came out on top at the end of the overtime! Better luck next year! (HA!) The campers returned to Bagnall at night for the annual luau dance where all the campers got to enjoy great music and dance with all their other friends and counselors. Our own Chloe won the annual dance off after a long show down with G7's Lorenzo.
On Wednesday, we had the annual GSRP awards ceremony where the campers received awards for the baseball tournaments and hockey tournaments, awards given by their counselors, and also awards given by the senior staff. To conclude the awards ceremony, Chloe brought home the director's award and she was more than thrilled to do so!
On Thursday, the whole camp went to Crane's beach for the day. We had a lot of fun and the campers didn't disappoint, making sure that every counselor was dripping wet by the end of the day! Some campers discovered a horseshoe crab and made sure that it was safely back in the water. We had another successful day and hopefully no one got too sunburned!
Tody is our last day of camp! :( Amanda and Ryan would like to thank you very much for sending your kids to camp this year! We enjoyed having them in our group as much as they loved coming to camp! We want to wish everyone a great rest of the summer, a great school year, and we will hopefully see you back here next summer!
