Last week at summer camp, your first graders had the times of their lives at Jay Gee's, then again
at Dave and Buster's. At Jay Gee's, we got to play mini golf and had so much fun. Later that day,
Jimmy and Allie took the kids on the go-karts, but since they were too short to ride alone, we took
turns with each child so they could experience the thrill of go-karts: each of them LOVED it!!
We were also given a nice sweet treat at the end of the field trip, ice cream! The next field trip,
also during week 3, was to the huge arcade!!! Your kids had a great time playing a variety of
video games!! Last week, in the project room, we got to make towers out of newspaper, and it
was a blast! This week we are overjoyed to be going to the Lowell Spinners game tomorrow!!!!
Everyone is looking forward to watching the baseball game. Yesterday, we got to watch a few
“stars” perform lip syncing acts. There was one guy as Michael Jackson, and there was a Taylor
Swift performer as well. Some of the first graders even thought performers were the real stars.
It was a great way to end our Monday afternoon. At some points, all of the first graders were
asked to come sing and dance with the impersonators, and they weren’t shy at all!! They
showed everyone their best dance moves as well as their beautiful singing voices. Jimmy and Allie,
as well as your kids, are so sad to say that there are only a few more weeks left of camp, but we
are happy to say that the next few weeks are going to be incredible!!
