Group 2B would like to welcome all of our campers to another great GSRP year! the grade 2 counselors are very excited to start out this year with these little guys, and they have already learned so much about them. The kids have had a blast with Sabrina and Scottie playing basketball and jump rope any chance they get! On the very first day of camp, Sabrina and Scottie quickly learned how respectful and responsible these kids could be. In fact, the kids came up with their own rules to follow! Some of these included not wandering or going anywhere without asking, being a team player, and always having their listening ears alert and ready! Along with the rules, the kids thought of some fair consequences to follow if these rules are broken. However, with these kids, Scottie and Sabrina doubt they will need to use these punishment, as their number one rule, smile and have fun, is followed day after day!
Aside from learning the rules and spending our time playing in the sun, the kids have learned a lot about each other and their counselors. fore example, second grade counselor Sabrina has recently graduate from Pentucket High School and will find herself attending Bentley University in the fall. This will be her third year at GSRP, and she could not be more excited to work with all of your second graders! Counselor Scottie, on the other hand, is a soon-to-be junior at Whittier Tech. He is planning on becoming an electrician after he graduates, but in the meantime he plays Football, hockey, and baseball! This is Scottie's first year at GSRP and he has already proven himself more than capable at keeping these kids safe, happy, and entertained! All in all, this summer is going to be full of great activities and more great smiles and laughs! It is sure to be a memorable summer!
