It's been a hot week so far at GSRP! Week 4 has kicked off with a bang for group 2B, with both swimming and a concert! The kids obviously had a blast getting out of the heat, splashing around in the pool, and soaking the counselors! It was so much fun the counselor Jimmy from group 1B got a little too excited and fell in the pool! The laughter coming from 2B was contagious, so I guess you could say swimming was a great success this week!
Once second grade got back to camp, the fun did not stop, as Taylor Swift and Michael Jackson decided to make an appearance! The kids were all belting out the lyrics to all the Taylor Swift songs, singing "Shake it Off " and "22!" Some of the kids, including Cami Chisolm and Evie Zappala, went up to dance with Taylor! Even if all the kids didn't get a chance to sing and dance with Taylor, they did get a chance to learn some dance moves from Michael Jackson! The staff even went up with Michael to dance for the kids! So as you can tell, Week 4 has been a very exciting week, and the excitement has yet to end.
On Wednesday, second grade will get to experience a real life baseball game at the Lowell Spinners! In the meantime, the kids have a great time playing with Scottie and Sabrina! Max Coppola even got the chance to embarrass Scottie by beating him in a jump rope contest! After that defeat, Grade 2 got a special treat, getting to go to water games for and extra block, escaping the heat! It's saf3e to say week 4 is just going to get better and better, possibly becoming the most memorable week of GSRP!
