Summer is sadly starting to come to a closer her at GSRP, leaving a bittersweet feeling in its wake. Scottie and Sabrina count their lucky stars for the chance to work with these amazing second graders; they wish it would never end, but the time spent together will truly be treasured! However, even though camp ends in 2 weeks, the fun has yet to stop!
Monday brought us another great day to escape the heat, so swimming at the Haverhill High pool could not have been better! There was not a single kid in group 2B who wanted to sit out, and it is safe to say they all had a blast!
As soon as swimming ended, everyone got to meet some new friends, brought courtesy of Curious Creatures! The kids were face to face with an alligator, tarantula, and even a 10-foot snake! The level of excitement in the room was absolutely unbelievable, the kids shouting about how they touched all the animals!
The flow of excitement transpired right into Tuesday, as practice for the annual hockey tournament began. 2B's very own Aidan, Julian, Jack, and Andrew will be playing, and we know they'll do their teams proud! We will all be there to support these boys, cheering them on every step of the way! Counselors Scottie and Sabrina have nothing but positive things to say, ending with "good luck!"
Ending our week, GSRP's traditional mountain day field trip will be back! For the first time ever, Grades 1-3 will be joining the older kids at Mount Cranmore in North Conway, NH for tome mountain adventures! We look forward to such a great day and hope the kids feel the same!
