Week 6 has been one of the best weeks of the summer! Each day is filled with new and exciting things to do and it has been a blast!
On Monday we kicked off the week with a special curious creatures show! The kids were presented with many exotic animals and they were able to pet them if they wanted to! We got to see an alligator, tarantula, a flying squirrel and two massive snakes! It was a very fun experience!
Tuesday marks the beginning of the hockey tournament, where all grades are allowed to participate. There is one tournament for grades 1-3, and another for the older campers. Grade 3 was very excited for this, and our very own Steven H recorded a hat trick! Great job Steven! On top of this the kids got to visit the ice cream cart, and we all know you can’t go wrong there! Although bad weather cut the day down a little bit, it did not stop us from getting in a good time of our free choice period, where the kids get to choose where they want to go.
Wednesday was hot lunch day and more hockey. The kids got some delicious Chinese food which they thoroughly enjoyed. The weather was much better than Tuesday, and it allowed the kids to enjoy more activities outside, including basketball, soccer, and four square. We are so impressed with the way the kids have improved with their sportsmanship!
On Thursday all grades will be going on the Mountains field trip, the longest filed trip of the summer. Even though it’s a long ride, it will definitely be worth it, as the mountains day is always one of the best of the year!
Week 6 has been a great week so far, and it’s only going to get better!
