Grade 3 is loving life back on shore after Thursday’s Whale Watch out of Newburyport. Unfortunately, a few campers and our very own counselor spent a majority of their time leaning over board from some seasickness. On the bright side, we did see three whales. As Cam recalls, “it was breathtaking.” Overall, everyone seemed to enjoy the whales, but everyone was happy to be back on shore by the end of the day.
On Monday, we got to spend some time on GSRP’s newest editions. In the game room, we now have a bouncy house with our camp name on it! This is no ordinary bouncy house. There is a basketball hoop and slide included. One of our new favorite games is trying to catch the football while coming down the side. Since the slide is ours to keep, we can enjoy jumping for the rest of the summer. In addition, we set up our latest waterslide called the Dolphin Express. Again, GSRP’s name is labeled on the side. Now water games are double the fun with two waterslides!
Yesterday, we were looking forward to the after lunch hip hop performance/dance class. All the kids brought their dancing shoes. We really had a treat with great dancing, and even (as you've seen) absolutely phenomenal rapping from our very own counselor, Sarah.
This week we are heading off to Portsmouth, NH for some fun and tubing at Amesbury Sports Park. Lunch is included, but feel free to pack some snacks, and as always, bring a water bottle. We are looking forward to the rest of today’s events, but for now, have a great rest of your week!
