It was a busy week for G3A! Last Thursday, we all enjoyed our field trip to Strawbery Banke in Portsmouth, NH. The kids learned about architecture, tools, and the culture of the 1700s, 1800s, and 1900s by traveling from house to house. After that, we all hopped on the busses and headed to Amesbury for some summer tubing. Everyone enjoyed the pizza and drinks for lunch before going out and going down the hill. Everyone loved the trip and even TWO giant soccer games broke out! On Friday, we took our weekly trip to the Haverhill pool to beat the heat and enjoy some swimming!
Week Six was a busy one. The hockey tournament started, and a couple of our own competitive campers signed up for the Grade 1-4 tournament. With practice having already occurred, the kids geared up for their first games after lunch on Tuesday! The ice cream cart was also open Tuesday afternoon, so the kids had a nice treat! Wednesday was hot lunch and it was Chinese food week! On the food note, just a friendly reminder that the kids are coming to camp with a snack and a lunch because we don’t want anyone to be hungry. On Thursday, we had our longest, and possibly most fun, day of the year. While the older kids headed up to Attitash Mountain, Grades 1-3 went to Santa’s Village for some amusement park fun! With only a week left of camp, we hope to end this great year of GSRP on the right note!
