Weeks 5 and 6 had been very busy and filled with excitement. Thursday in week 5, 3B went on a field trip to Strawbery Banke and to Amesbury Sports Park for summer tubing. At Strawbery Banke, the old colonial houses and demonstrations thoroughly entertained the kids. The kids loved seeing how people used to live in the 1700s and 1800s. The kids got to pretend they were living in a whole other generation. They got to try on clothes, play games and observe customs that would have been considered normal way back then. All of the old houses, rooms, and toys had the kids very intrigued at the very different lifestyle. It is certainly a lot different than all of the iPads and iPhones we have today! At Amesbury Sports Park, the kids got to tube down a huge slide, with water spraying them as they went down. The kids could not get enough of Strawbery Banke or summer tubing!
Week 6, we had a hockey tournament and the longest field trip of the year on Thursday, which was so fun. Grades 4 and up went to Attitash, and grades 3 and under made their way to Santa’s Village. Both locations were great, and it was a very fun time!
Also during week 6 was the hockey tournament. This year’s hockey tournament had all the kids very excited, and we even had some winners on the championship team this year!
Although the end of the summer is just around the corner, it is not stopping GSRP from continuing to have loads of fun!
