Tuesday was a special day because we had a visit from some hip-hop dancers! The performers taught campers the "6 elements of hip-hop" and showed them how to do some cool moves. After the performance, G7 was excited to test out the camp's new "Dolphin Express" waterslide. Campers had an awesome time on this steep ride.
Wednesday was another great day for G7. The majority of our cmapers participated in GSRP's annual baseball tournament. All of our campers played well, and several of them competed in the championship while the rest of our group got to watch some of the game!
On Thursday, campers had an opportunity to visit some historical houses at Strawbery Banke. G7 visited houses that were built in the 1700s, 1800s, and 1950s. Campers also had the opportunity to weave their own cloth in one home. We ended our trip to Strawbery Banke with a visit to a cooking demonstration from the 1750s. G7 asked a number of questions during the presentation and learned a lot. We were lucky enough to get to visit Amesbury Sports Park on Thursday as well. At the sports park, campers enjoyed a thrilling ride on some tubes. G7 loved going down the steep hill and getting wet along the way! Many campers also played soccer on the park's turf and had an awesome time competing. We can't believe week 5 is over, but we are looking forward to week 6!
